The Forest of Marston Vale is bringing the Forest Family Fun Day fundraising event back to the Forest Centre on Saturday 4th September, and tickets have just gone on sale.

The biggest annual fundraising event of the year for the charity, it regularly attracts over 4000 people to Millennium Country Park in Marston Moretaine. Despite Covid putting a stop to the event last year, the much-loved Forest Family Fun Day will return this summer and promises something for everyone to enjoy. Games, rides, kids’ crafts, animal encounters and nature trail will be available to keep young ones busy, with stalls, local food and drink offerings and a grand raffle available for the grown ups entertainment. There will also be the opportunity to meet Peppa Pig and George at intervals throughout the day.

Discounted tickets are on sale now for a limited time only at www.marstonvale.org/events, and cost £2 per child and £1 per adult. On the daytickets will cost £3 per child and £2 per adult. Car parking is free at this event.

Robina Ballard-Davis, Fundraising Officer for the Forest of Marston Vale said: "Like many venues our Forest Centre – one of our main sources of income, from the café and gift shop – was closed or operating a reduced service for much of the last year. This has had a direct impact on our charity finances. We’re hoping that now we’re able to do our fundraising events again that people will come along and show us some support!
Losing the Forest Family Fun Day last year was a big blow, which is why we’re adding more space for stalls and exhibitors to this years event – and we’ve still got spaces available. We’re looking for any small businesses who would like to come along, meet our visitors and sell or shout about their products to get in touch with us.
We’re also still looking for organisations who can support the day, either through sponsorship, advertising, gifts in kind or taking a community awareness pitch at the event."
