Dementia Action Week is a national event that sees the public coming together to take action in supporting people that are affected by dementia. This year, there are free activities at the Higgins for all who are interested in or are affected by dementia.

Showcasing previous works from the Tibbs Art Activitea group and local dementia artist Phill Watmough. Pick up useful information leaflets on dementia in The Higgins foyer.


Tibbs Art Activitea at The Higgins
Monday 16 May, 2pm – 3.30pm

Join in a relaxed art session on the theme of the Platinum Jubilee with Tibbs Dementia Foundation. No art experience needed. Refreshments provided.

Around Bedford Castle

Join us for a gentle, sensory walk around the remains of Bedford Castle and learn more about the history of the area. Back at The Higgins, investigate a range of interesting objects with links to the castle and our own history and memories. Refreshments provided.
